East Boston's Don Orione Home seniors were in for a treat this holiday season as the Boston Police Department's District A-7 Community Service Officers brought Christmas cheer a bit early. According to BPD News, the officers attended Advocate Health Care's Christmas party for the home's elderly residents yesterday, turning the day into a festive celebration complete with music and dancing.
The heartwarming event did not skimp on festivities, as refreshments were served to all in attendance, ensuring everyone had a chance to partake in the holiday spirit. This initiative is part of BPD's ongoing commitment to engage with the community and bring joy to one of the city's most cherished groups, our seniors.
The department took to their blog to share details of the merry gathering, but not only the food and fun were on the menu—officers and residents also enjoyed the opportunity to interact and bond over shared moments of yuletide joy.
