Burglars seem to be precisely timing their raids to the early evening hours, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., taking advantage of what appears to be the occupants' usual absence.
Desperate to stem this tide, law enforcement vows to step up patrols. They aim to markedly deter these brazen thieves, who have been shattering rear glass doors or windows to gain illicit entry. These criminals have consistently targeted the primary bedrooms, scouring for jewelry, cash, and other valuable possessions. In their social media statement, the police detailed these patterns but stopped short of announcing any arrests or identifying suspects.
As the investigations press on, detectives diligently collect evidence and piece together the circumstances of each crime. Yet, they acknowledge the power of communal vigilance. "We're increasing patrols in the affected areas, and our detectives are tirelessly gathering all available evidence," the Carlsbad Police Department noted in their public communiqué.
