Chicago Woman Cuffed for Forceful Felony FracasSource: Chicago Police Department

A Chicago woman has been slapped with a felony robbery charge after police pin her to a September heist, authorities announced Friday.

Tinithia Traylor, 41, from the 1100 block of North Monitor Avenue, is accused of forcibly relieving a 21-year-old man of his possessions on the evening of September 24. Chicago Police Department officers arrested Traylor Wednesday near her home address. This case has been developing since the victim was targeted in the 1100 block of North Mayfield Avenue in what is, to gently put it, an unwelcome encounter, CPD said.

Details surrounding the robbery have been closely guarded, but law enforcement has confirmed that Traylor was identified as an offender in the incident and was taken into custody without further incident. She's charged with one (1) felony count of robbery.

The alleged perpetrator detention hearing was set for Friday, December 1, in the Cook County Criminal Court.

The CPD has not released additional comments on the case.
