The Colma Police Department is requesting the public's assistance to nab a repeat shoplifter who has allegedly made off with over $15,000 in merchandise from a local business. The latest incident occurred on December 20 when the woman reportedly swiped goods valued at approximately $8,244, rounding out a trio of thefts at the same establishment.
According to the department's social media plea, the suspect, who has seemingly made a habit of targeting this business, first struck on October 4, walking away with over $5,628 worth of items. She returned on November 10 to help herself to another $1,500 in merchandise. In both instances, the female suspect was seen fleeing in high-end vehicles – a white Toyota and a white Audi.
Description of the suspect provided by the police characterizes her as a black female in her early 40s, last seen sporting a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, black slippers, and a black beanie. The Colma Police Department has turned to the community for leads, encouraging anyone with information to step forward in aiding the ongoing investigation.
The police have offered multiple avenues for tipsters, reminding residents that they can contact the Detective Bureau directly or, for those wishing to remain under the cloak of anonymity, offer information through an anonymous tip-line. The Colma PD's appeal expresses urgency in apprehending the serial shoplifter and preventing further losses to the local business community.
