An Atlanta family is seeking the help of the community to locate 54-year-old Russell Rodney F. Rainey, a man with autism and diabetes, who has been missing since the morning after Thanksgiving. According to WSB-TV, Rainey was last seen in the Adamsville area of Wilson Mill Road SW.

The case has grown increasingly worrisome due to Rainey's medical condition, as he requires daily medication for his diabetes. A Mattie's Call, the state-wide alert system for missing elderly or disabled persons, has been issued to quicken his safe return."We are his family, that’s why we’re standing here in unison, because we want him home, the holidays are coming up, and it’s not normal for him not to be home," his niece Courtney Savala told FOX 5 Atlanta in an interview.

Rainey is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, last seen wearing a blue Nike hoodie, blue jeans, and gray/white sneakers.

Savala said Rainey is known to frequent Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Cascade Avenue. "We're asking the community if they know anything, if they’ve seen anything, let the Atlanta Police Department know or something. We just need him home please," she said, stating that Rainey is fond of riding the bus and visiting local stores, often located at the McDonald’s up the street.

The Atlanta Police Department is actively involved in the search, with both the family and authorities reaching out to the public for any leads. Anyone with information regarding Russell Rodney F. Rainey’s whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the Atlanta Police Homicide/Adult Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.
