The offenders, described as a group of 16 to 27-year-old males with medium brown complexions and a preference for dark clothing, have been targeting commuters with an alarming consistency.
These brazen thieves, according to the CPD's alert, manage to have executed thefts under the cover of both night and early dawn. Locations like 200 West 63rd Street and 15 West 69th Street repeatedly emerge in the incident report. With timing ranging from the early hours at 2:20 AM on November 25th to the bustling 0:33 AM commute on November 27th, no time appears to be safe from the lurking threat.
