Two lucky ducks in the Chicago suburbs just got a monstrous holiday boost to their bank accounts, courtesy of the Illinois Lottery. A pair of instant ticket players each scored a cool $1 million jackpot. The new $50 scratch-off game, the "$10 Million," is making its debut this month and it's already shelling out the big bucks.
The first of these golden tickets was hawked at Oak Park Gas Mart on North Ave in Oak Park. The other, at a Speedway joint on State St in Lockport. Lottery bigwigs are telling the winners to scribble their names on the back of their tickets and stash 'em somewhere safe until they feel like steppin' up to claim their wad of cash, according to a report by NBC Chicago.
The "biggest scratch-off lottery game in the state," is not just for show. It packs a total of three whopping $10 million top prizes, and fifteen $1 million prizes, dangling the chance of becoming filthy rich before the New Year's ball drops. It's got the best odds for folks to win $500 than any scratch-off in the Land of Lincoln.
