A man succumbed to his injuries after being discovered with a gunshot wound to his chest on the I-85 southbound ramp from North Druid Hills Road, according to Brookhaven Police. The victim was taken to Grady Hospital, where he eventually passed away.

Police initially responded to calls about a person hit by a car but found the man unresponsive with a chest wound beside the curb of the highway ramp.
