Christmas has wrapped its festive arms around Miami-Dade's Tropical Park, transforming it into a "Christmas Wonderland" despite the migration of Santa’s Enchanted Forest to a new locale. The holiday cheer isn't just clinging to past traditions; it's evolving with a blend of thrill rides, including North America's largest traveling Ferris wheel, and an explosion of lights that could probably be seen from space—or at least that's how it seems to the dazzled onlookers. This transformation, a first for the venue known for hosting Santa's Enchanted Forest, includes a gamut of family fun from food to amusement galore, as Local10 News reported.
Riding off the success of the relocated Santa’s Enchanted Forest, which now brightens the skies at 7400 NW 87th Ave. in Medley, Tropical Park has stepped up its game. Based on the jovial interviews by attendees exclaiming that "laughter and the memories" brings them back every year, it's clear the park has delivered on its promises of holiday delight. Meanwhile, according to Time Out Miami, there's also no shortage of unique attractions, like 3D-mapped igloo shows and a "North Pole village" designed to make even the Grinch's heart grow three sizes.
Pulling out all the stops, the park also hosts HoliDade, a celebration that injects a dose of Miami heat into the typically cold holiday season, presenting Instagram-worthy displays that celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of 305. Ensuring every visitor leaves with a smartphone full of memories and a heart full of joy, the park's half-mile of holiday displays and hourly light shows turn the simple act of walking through Tropical Park into a jaw-dropping visual feast.
Christmas Wonderland has also made quite the entrance with its epic light exhibition, where all six worlds of the event illuminate in a synchronized light show on the hour, every hour. The fanfare isn't ending with the close of Christmas day; this winter wonderland keeps its gates open until January 7, ensuring Miami-Dade residents and visitors alike can ring in the new year with a dash of Christmas magic well into the start of 2024.
