Two nights before Christmas, San Jose's streets were quieter than usual, but for the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), the workday brought its own share of surprises. A routine patrol took an unexpected turn as officers conducted a traffic stop that led to the discovery of two loaded firearms. The driver, now facing serious charges, will be spending the festive period behind bars, according to an X post by the SJPD.

Found within the vehicle, two guns ready to fire were seized by the vigilant officers, averting potential tragedy. The SJPD quoted, "A Patrol unit did a traffic stop, and found two loaded guns. The driver was arrested, and won’t have any Christmas fun."
In a separate incident highlighted by the same departmental post, an elderly grandmother who had gone missing was fortunately located by a proactive lieutenant. She was found safe and sound, to the relief of her anxious family, and was promptly returned to her home. The SJPD's message underscored their commitment to the community's safety and well-being, particularly when families gather and celebrate.
The San Jose Police used the holiday cheer as a backdrop for their message, ensuring residents that their dedication to public safety was unwavering even during the season of joy. "Whatever your plans for this holiday season, rest assured, SJPD is working around the clock to keep your family and loved ones safe," read the SJPD's holiday message.
