
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old male in Chicago's South Side, authorities said. The suspect, identified as Daeshawn Hill, of the 0-100 block of E. 108th St., is facing one felony count of first-degree murder, Chicago Police Department detailed.
Ripped from the city's web of crime, the victim, who has not been named by officials, was struck down by gunfire earlier this year on April 30, shortly before the stroke of 1 p.m. In their determined pursuit, the Chicago Police arrested Hill on December 1, 2023, in Park Forest after being identified as the shooter, ruining tranquility near the 400 block of Miami St. The detention hearing, painting is set to be held today at the criminal courthouse at 2600 S. California Ave.
As reported by the CPD, the incident that cut short the life of a 40-year-old unfolded within the 0-100 block of W. 113th St. in the city's 5th District.
