Gearing up for a blast from the past, the iconic rockers Def Leppard and Journey are set to co-headline a massive summer tour in 2024, including a nostalgic showdown at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 5. This rock extravaganza will see the duo accompanied by Heart, known for timeless hits that have never really left classic rock radio rotations, according to Boston.com.

Def Leppard, riding high on their recent "Diamond Star Halos" album, are promising to quickly jump back into the fray with a "brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history," Joe Elliott, the group's frontman, revealed in a statement obtained by Boston.com. Fans are even teased with potential surprises tucked up the band's sleeves. Kicking off in St. Louis on July 6, the tour promises to rock through 23 cities before wrapping it up in Denver on September 8.

Adding to the buzz, NBC Boston reports that this will be one of the defining stops of the 2024 Fenway Park Concert Series. Def Leppard and Journey, along with Heart, will share the stage with other acts including Hootie and the Blowfish, Noah Kahan, Kane Brown, Foo Fighters, Blink-182, and Green Day, setting the tone for a diverse and electric summer lineup.

Fans are eagerly eyeing December 15, when general ticket sales are slated to go live on the Red Sox Concert website. For those looking to sneak ahead of the pack, registration for presale tickets began on December 13, according to Boston.com. It's not just Fenway Park that gets to enjoy the raging energy; the tour is expected to hit multiple stadiums nationwide, with other guest acts like Steve Miller Band and Cheap Trick promising to truly rock the summer air. So, for those who want to rewind the clock and indulge in an evening chock-full of anthems that defined an era, chalk up August 5 on your calendar.
