Gun-toting teens terrorized Chicagoans in a string of armed robberies, authorities said, with police charging two 16-year-old males with a grand tally of four felony counts each. These young guns were nabbed post-haste by vigilant Chicago Police Department officers on the morning of Saturday, November 30th, according to official reports.
The duo's arrest occurred at around 10:38 a.m. was on the heels of hold-ups that terrorized a quartet of males ranging in age from 21 to 62 on the South Side. The victims were relieved of their belongings at the menacing end of a firearm in the 3700 block of S. Lituanica Ave. in the 9th District. Authorities were quick to finger the juveniles, placing them into custody where they would await their fate in a juvenile detention center before seeing the inside of a courtroom on December 1, 2023.
The announcement of the charges came straight from the CPD Charge Release which detailed not only the offenses but also the courts where the underage perpetrators would hear the judiciary's response: "Juvenile Detention Hearing – 1100 S. Hamilton". As of now, additional details are scant as the community watches the wheels of justice slowly begin to turn.
