A Chicago ride-share driver was hospitalized after a violent encounter that left him with a stab wound to the head, courtesy of a female customer who erupted in anger on the city's storied Michigan Avenue.
The attack took place right after midnight, around 12:30 a.m., as the 41-year-old driver was providing service in the 600 block of North Michigan Avenue. The woman, reportedly his customer, lashed out and, wielding a sharp object, stabbed him and immediately fled from the crime scene, the Chicago Tribune details.
Despite the ordeal, the victim managed to get himself to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where reports from the Chicago Sun-Times confirm he is listed in good condition.
With no arrests made, the hunt for the perpetrator continues as Area 3 detectives scour for lead.
