Today, there's a 30 percent chance of showers hitting the city, primarily in the post-afternoon hours. The day will start with some patchy fog before the air clears by 9am, the National Weather Service reports. Temperatures are likely to reach a high near 69 degrees with a light Southwest breeze.
Tonight, the chance of rain increases to 60 percent, expected mainly after the early morning hours. Fog will once again roll in past midnight, bringing with it more moisture and clouds. As the breezes turn calm, temperatures are predicted to dip to a low around 59 degrees, with precipitation amounts potentially reaching a quarter of an inch according to the weather service.
The wet conditions are set to intensify on Saturday, with showers and possible thunderstorms on the horizon. Fog may make an appearance once more before it dissipates at around 10am. The chance of precipitation skyrockets up to 100 percent with new rainfall potentially accumulating between a half and three-quarters of an inch. Strengthening winds from the south could whip up gusts as high as 30 mph.
Saturday night will continue to see showers and potential thunderstorms before 10pm, thereafter the rains could subside slightly with occasional showers stretching into the early hours. The low temperature will be around 46 degrees, but the gusty conditions will persist, switching from south to west after midnight and might up to reach as high as 25 mph. The National Weather Service estimates an 80 percent chance of precipitation during these turbulent evening hours.
The outlook for Sunday predicts mostly cloudy skies with a chilling high near 51 degrees, as northwest winds pick up speed to 15-20 mph and could gust up to 35 mph. The start of the week brings a reprieve from the rain, with Monday promising sunny skies and a high of around 52 degrees, dipping to 33 degrees at night. Tuesday and Wednesday will continue the clear trend, featuring sunny days and cooler nights. By Thursday, the weather is expected to softy warm up, with temperatures reaching highs near 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
