As Boston remembered the towering legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Boston Police Department's Community Service Team from the B-3 Mattapan unit brought local citizens together for a day of reflection and camaraderie with their MLK Day Brunch & Bowl event that took place on Monday in Dorchester, according to a statement obtained by the Boston Police Department.
The Brunch & Bowl event purposeful attempt to connect on a human level, to share stories, and to invariably knit a tighter community through the medium of fellowship and the spirit of unity than the one which Dr. King himself championed, reinforcing his message of peace and understanding amongst all people.
By fostering these relationships through events such as the MLK Day Brunch & Bowl, law enforcement is aiming to create a more transparent, responsive, and inclusive framework for public safety.
