In an effort to keep the little ones secure, the Coon Rapids Police Department is stepping up its game with a free car seat clinic slated for late February. Parents and guardians in the Coon Rapids area are given the opportunity to ensure their child's car seat is installed correctly, absolutely free of charge. The event is scheduled for February 26th, 2024, kicking off at 4:00 pm and wrapping up at 6:30 pm, according to Coon Rapids Police Department.
The community initiative, invites parents to work with certified car seat technicians who will inspect and adjust car seats to ensure maximum safety for the children. Motor vehicle accidents rank as a leading cause of injury and death among children in the United States, making the correct usage and installation of car seats a critical issue for families on the move. "Our car seat technicians can ensure your car seat is installed properly," as announced on the official Coon Rapids Police Department's Facebook page.
