An Elgin man, aged 23, was slapped with eight counts of first-degree murder and an extra 19 counts of aggravated battery, leveled against him for the death of his infant son back in March 2021. In a separate streak of alleged violence, Davis is indicted for injuring a baby girl known to him between November 2020 and January 2021, which resulted in nine counts of aggravated battery.
