CBS Detroit reports that Michigan's own Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, alongside the Michigan Legacy Art Park, have been named as finalists in the hunt for America's top sculpture parks, setting up the potential for a lush, artsy showdown as part of the 2024 USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice awards.

The Grand Rapids treasure and its Thompsonville counterpart are just two, on the list of 20 distinguished open-air art havens, vying for the title that Meijer Gardens snagged last year. Nominations came pouring in from a panel of experts, following which the top 20 made it to the ballots.

Breaking down the numbers, PR Newswire highlights that voters have until February 19 to make their preferences known with the ultimate reveal planned for March 1. Meijer Gardens, meanwhile, is banking on the community to keep the votes coming in, touting their lush gardens and iron-wrought wonders that have marked them as a culture hub for nearly three decades.
