Bringing more than just burgers to the table, this new installment will transform a former SunTrust Bank branch into a gastronomic haven with a second-story rooftop deck featuring both indoor and outdoor dining.
The Westside expansion of the popular burger chain is not just about location but also enhancing the dining experience, owners Alex Brounstein and Johnny Farrow are joining forces with Atlanta commercial designer Elizabeth Ingram Studio and Studio SOGO Architecture to create something truly unique for the neighborhood; the deck is also billed as an “adults-only, all-weather” retreat, according to a feature by Rough Draft Atlanta. With The Works, an expansive mixed-use development, just a street away, the new Grindhouse locale signals a delicious boost to the fast-evolving Underwood Hills dining scene.
While burgers remain the star, Grindhouse Killer Burgers' menu also boasts boozy milkshakes and unique topping combinations like pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes attracting both locals and visitors alike. Brounstein excitedly shared with Atlanta Business Journal, "There are so many great neighborhood communities surrounding this new location. When we found this opportunity, it felt like a no-brainer." With the renowned reputation of their existing eateries, including Breaker Breaker's Gulf Coast-inspired fare led by Chef Maximilian Hines, the new restaurant is poised to become a neighborhood staple.
While the new Grindhouse won't be flipping patties until 2025, the anticipation is already sizzling among the Atlanta food community and the food truck will tide over fans with appearances around Underwood Hills and Blandtown as the locals eagerly await the next chapter in the Grindhouse saga yes the saga that began humbly in 2009 with a food stall in Sweet Auburn Curb Market, has now exploded into a Georgia burger empire with two airport outposts and five other locations.
