Residents of the 21500 block of Siros Isle Drive were not expecting a neighborhood porch pirate, but deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office brought an end to the community’s package theft concerns on January 11. Following a report of a stolen package by a homeowner, law enforcement quickly arrived on the scene and a neighbor, identified as Shantrell Williams, became the prime suspect.
Video surveillance was conclusive, and the authorities did not waste time piecing together the evidence, the footage revealed Williams pilfering the package with an ease that suggested it may not have been her first time despite this fact, she was already out on bond for an unrelated burglary of a vehicle charge and she had an open warrant for resisting arrest out of Montgomery County. The community’s diligence and swift action by the deputies has now led to one more suspect being held accountable.
In a report by the Harris County Constable's Office, they stated that Williams's capture resulted from rigorous investigative work. "Shantrell Williams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Theft of Mail," said Constable Mark Herman in a statement posted on the precinct’s official Facebook page. "Her bond was set at $3,000.00 out of County Court 13."
