
A man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking another individual in Harris County this past Sunday. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's office were called to the scene at the 24000 block of Yellow Thyme Drive on January 28, to respond to the incident.
Upon arrival, the deputies identified the suspect as Craig Phipps. An investigation into the altercation revealed that Phipps had reportedly assaulted the victim using his hands and a weapon, which led to injuries, the constable's office reported. The nature of the weapon has not yet been disclosed, nor has the extent of the victim's injuries.
"Craig Phipps was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault. His bond and court information have not been set at this time." Constable Mark Herman stated in a release. The legal proceedings following an arrest of this nature will typically include a bond hearing, where the terms of release pending trial will be established.
