A man was arrested in Harris County after allegedly discharging a firearm into the air and brandishing it toward a family member on January 7, officials said in a facebook post. The Harris County Constable's Office reported that deputies responded to a call in the 20000 block of Golden Sycamore Trl where the male suspect fled on foot before law enforcement arrived.
After searching the Fairfield community, deputies were able to quickly locate and detain Christian Bell. In a statement released on Facebook, Constable Mark Herman's Office detailed how Bell's confrontation escalated to a point where he not only fired shots but also menacingly displayed the weapon toward a relative.
"Christian Bell was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 339th District Court," read the statement released by Constable Mark Herman's Office. The incident has cast a shadow over the neighborhood, stirring concerns about firearm safety and domestic disturbances.
The details surrounding what led Bell to allegedly quickly decide to brandish and discharge the firearm have not been made public. The case is expected to unfold further once he appears in court and the legal proceedings take their course.
