Tragedy struck in Houston as a man was fatally shot and another wounded early Wednesday morning. The violence unfolded at 9012 Clinton Street around 1:30 a.m., when officers uncovered a grim scene of a car crash and bullet wounds. According to the City of Houston's official news release, the deceased, a 48-year-old male, awaits identification pending family notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Houston police are now to intensively search for two suspects described only as "unknown black males," who reportedly fled the crime scene in an undetermined direction. Responding to the incident, HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported to City of Houston News, "Officers responded to a report of a crash at the above address and found a black Mercedes sedan had crashed into a ditch. The driver had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene."
Meanwhile, the passenger, a 29-year-old man who also sustained a gunshot wound, was transported swiftly to an area hospital. His current condition is considered stable.
