A tragic accident on State Route 94 claimed the life of a young motorcycle rider, Jadahn Schaefer, 27, of Lemon Grove. The fatal incident occurred on the evening of Jan. 5, when Schaefer crashed into a disabled vehicle on the eastbound lanes near Kelton Road, according to a report by the San Diego Medical Examiner obtained by California Injury Accident Lawyer. Schaefer sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene approximately half an hour after the accident.
The collision, happening just before 10:35 p.m., led investigators to probe into the cause and liability associated with the crash. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office states the decedent was "ejected from the motorcycle after he struck a disabled vehicle in the number one lane of eastbound traffic." Despite efforts made by rescue personnel, Schaefer succumbed to his injuries on the highway east of the Kelton Road overpass.
Further details released by the authorities disclosed that Schaefer suffered "blunt force injuries of the torso," with no contributing conditions, indicating the crash's violent nature. Emergency dispatch had received a call reporting the accident on the night in question, which drew swift response from rescue teams who arrived on the scene to administer lifesaving measures, as stated by the Medical Examiner's Office.
An investigation by the California Highway Patrol is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to Schaefer's untimely death, who was merely traveling on State Route 94, according to the same office. The young man's next of kin have been notified of the tragedy.
