A Friday night squabble turned violent at a Phoenix shopping plaza when one man was shot, as detailed in a recent release of video footage by local law enforcement. The Christown Spectrum, a shopping center at the nexus of 15th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, became the backdrop of the altercation just before 8:00 p.m., Phoenix police informed 12News.
The grainy video, captured by an unknown bystander, reveals a black truck abruptly stopping behind a parked car. Moments later, two individuals emerge, with one opening fire. The bullets struck a man, who is currently hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the black truck is seen pursuing the assailant, their vehicle barreling through the parking lot and colliding with another car in the chaos. As of now, the shooter remains at large.
Authorities swarmed the scene thereafter, finding the wounded man and securing the area. Witnesses were interviewed as detectives dove into the nascent investigation. Despite these initial efforts, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. "Officers secured the parking lot and interviewed several witnesses at the scene. Detectives responded to take over the investigation," officials stated, as reported by 12News.
