Flames ravaged the South Florida mansion of Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill yesterday, causing significant damage before firefighters could extinguish the blaze. The fire, which was reported from Hill's Southwest Ranches home, was battled for roughly 45 minutes before it was put out. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

As the news spread, fans began to quickly gather near Hill's home, expressing their concern for the well-being of their favorite player. "Pretty sad, he is my favorite player and it's devastating," Anthony Candelario told CBS News Miami. The fire inflicted a clean tear through the roof of the wide receiver's luxury abode, built in 2007, which boasts 9,326 sqft of living space on a 2.28-acre plot.

Despite the mishap, Drew Rosenhaus, Hill's agent, conveyed the athlete's resilience and intent to participate in the upcoming crucial game. "He appreciates everyone's support that's reached out to him. He's going to be fine physically, obviously mentally this is challenging anytime you have a fire at your home as you can imagine, but Tyreek — he's going to be okay," Rosenhaus stated in a CBS News Miami interview. The Dolphins are bracing themselves to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in a contest that could cement their home advantage for the playoffs.

Hill's presence on the field comes off the back of his extension with the Dolphins, a four-year deal worth $120 million, securing $72.2 million in guarantees. The speedster has been a critical playmaker since his move from Kansas City, leading the NFL this season with 1,717 receiving yards and bagging 12 touchdowns. He is also the only player in league history to amass at least 1,700 yards in multiple seasons.

Hill, who had been at practice when the fire erupted, rushed to the scene, shown in footage from local station WSVN 7 News on X, with his left foot in a walking boot. "He and his family are safe," confirmed Rosenhaus in the aftermath of the event. "No one was injured No. 1, no pets, so for that, we're very grateful. We're very grateful to the firefighters that put the fire out," he added according to an AP report.

Hill's Dolphins teammates, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, offered their support, reinforcing the sentiment that while property damage is regrettable, the safety of Hill and his family remains paramount. "I think the main thing is his family is safe. His loved ones are good. He's good as well. I know it's a little cliche to say, but those things like that, part of the house, some of those things can be replaceable. I'm just glad that a lot of his family members are safe," Tagovailoa told the press post-practice.
