Officer Dallas Fisher, who's been with the Eden Prairie Police Department since November 2022 will be keeping an eye on retail shenanigans alongside Officer Scott Williamson, a familiar face to those who frequent the mall.
Starting January 1, Fisher has taken on the role of Retail Crime Officer in this Minnesota shopping haven, a testament to the department's commitment to tackling theft and other crimes that often plague retail spaces. Fisher, an Arizona State University graduate with a degree in music performance, made his journey from the sunny climes of Phoenix to the colder, yet homely environs of Eden Prairie. Before his relocation, Fisher served four years on the Gilbert, Arizona police force, according to the City of Eden Prairie.
His background in jazz trombone may not come in handy during a chase, but Officer Fisher's eclectic skill set appears to harmonize with the varied demands of his new role. "If you see Officer Fisher or Williamson at the mall, please say hi!" the government website shares, fostering a friendly atmosphere in a space where security is paramount, as per the City of Eden Prairie.
