Early Saturday morning, flames engulfed a West Palm Beach Fire Department vehicle, prompting an internal investigation into the startling incident that unfolded at a fire station meant to be a haven against such events. As reported by WPTV, the fire broke out at approximately 4:33 a.m. at Station No. 4, with responding units racing from Station No. 1 to the scene of their colleagues' distress.
The irony was as thick as the smoke that billowed from one of the fire rescue ambulance trucks while firefighters at the station, located at 1718 Parker Ave, were roused from sleep by the very alarms intended to summon them to action, thus they sprang into action to quell the flames that threatened their own outpost, as per details furnished by the CBS12 news team.
Fortunately, the West Palm Beach Fire Department has announced that there were no injuries resulting from the blaze.
