Phoenix law enforcement is on the hunt for a shooter after a man was found dead Thursday afternoon. The incident, occurring in north Phoenix, took the life of 53-year-old George Ramirez. Police were summoned to the area near Black Canyon Highway and I-17, just north of Bell Road, around 3 p.m. after reports of a death investigation, as reported by AZ Family.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Ramirez deceased at the scene. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.
