In the community spirit of the holiday season, the Saint Paul Police engaged in a series of charitable events to support and connect with local families. Saint Paul Police Sergeant Rooney and Officer Schutz took the initiative alongside Humboldt High School's women's group, orchestrating a toy drive that culminated in a bountiful distribution of presents, according to the Saint Paul Police Department.
The charitable actions didn't stop there, the MN Asian Peace Officers Association, a branch within the Saint Paul Police, provided gifts and essential items to five Karen families as part of their annual Glow of Hope event. This gesture reaches beyond the material, signifying a beacon of support in what can often loom as the longer, darker nights draw in.
Adding to the festive outreach, officers from the NLPOA - Minnesota State Chapter spread further joy through the Navidad con la Policia (Christmas with a Cop) event at Walmart in West Saint Paul. During this celebration, many families not only received gifts but also engaged in an invaluable opportunity, to spend quality time with those sworn to serve and protect them, as stated by the Saint Paul Police Department.
As the old year gave way, the department expressed gratitude towards its law enforcement partners for their support in the community efforts. The department shared its eagerness to continue such initiatives in the new year, hoping to maintain and strengthen communal ties. The post concluded with a heartfelt message for a safe and happy New Year, encapsulating the festive spirit that marked the department's end-of-year endeavors, as per the Saint Paul Police Department.
