Last year's race for punctuality in air travel has a victor, and it's closer to home than some might think, with San Diego International Airport landing 12th on the global list of most on-time airports, as reported by NBC San Diego.
The Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport snagged the coveted title of the world's most punctual airport, with more than 84% of flights pushing back from the gate on time, according to analytics firm Cirium, even as the count of screened passengers by TSA exceeded 2.6 million across several peak days this holiday season.
Not to be overshadowed, American carriers Delta and American Airlines were also top dogs in timely takeoffs and landings. The report detailed by CNBC demonstrated that industry leaders are not just defying but soaring above the logistical labyrinth that often defines air travel, with Cirium's 2023 On-Time Performance Review singling out the best in the business.
