Christopher Gregory, the owner of the business, is facing the reality of starting over after the events that unfolded in November and December 2023. According to FOX 5, the first incident saw $11,000 worth of gear taken, including blowers and weed eaters. But, the calamity didn't stop there, as another heist saw the disappearance of two trucks and equipment totaling nearly $70,000.
The situation turned more distressing when Gregory discovered that the second break-in might've been an inside job. Surprisingly, surveillance footage revealed a suspect reminiscent of a former employee, one who knew his way around, turning off power and efficiently locating the truck keys. This information comes from a report by SCRIL, where the suggestion of an ex-employee's involvement adds a bitter twist to the tale.
Navigating through these troubles, Gregory maintains a determined stance. "This company is my plan A, B, C," Gregory told FOX 5, emphasizing the depth of his commitment to his business. In light of the thefts, a GoFundMe page has been established to aid the Gregory family in replacing the lost equipment and pushing forward from this significant setback.
The Smyrna police are actively working on the case, putting out a call for assistance and information. They've promised anonymity to those who may come forward with valuable insights that could lead to the identification and arrest of the individuals responsible, Gregory hopes for the return of the stolen items, saying, "Ground zero. It's back to the basics. I have to take it back to where it all begins, and that's why I have my boots on, I just have to start over,” he told FOX 5.
