
Chaos erupted at a Walmart in Cave Creek, Arizona when a man unleashed multiple gunshots after a dispute, sending shoppers into a panic on Sunday.
According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the altercation took place around 5:15 p.m. near Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway on January 28. After the argument reached its boiling point inside the Walmart, the suspect left the building and resorted to gunfire before fleeing the scene.
No injuries have been reported despite the severity of the situation. The Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies quickly responded to the emergency calls but found that the shooter had disappeared before their arrival.
"The male then left the store and upon exiting the store, fired several shots at the store," MCSO stated as reported by 12 News. The investigation is active and ongoing, with authorities combing through evidence to track down the man responsible for the reckless endangerment of civilians.
Officials have yet to release any identifying information about the suspect or the nature of the heated altercation that led to the gunfire. As the search continues, MCSO has called for the public to come forward with any information that might assist in apprehending the individual behind the Cave Creek Walmart shooting.
