A routine vehicle shuffle at a Massachusetts car dealership turned chaotic Wednesday when an employee managed to accidentally barrel a truck straight through the storefront. Dave Christmas, the owner of Christmas Motors in Maynard, recounted narrowly escaping the potentially deadly incident. The errant Ford F-150, driven by an unnamed employee, crashed through the front of the business, halting just feet from where Christmas' secretary was stationed.

“Normally, I’m in that seat – which, of course, I’d probably be dead – and my beautiful Golden is in that doorway, watching people come in and out, and he would have been gone,” Christmas told 7NEWS. The secretary, Danielle Kallio, described the startling moment, saying, “I was just sitting at my desk, doing my work, and next thing I know, I heard this loud bang and crash and I looked up and there was an F-150 in my office,”

Authorities swiftly responded to the scene at Christmas Motors on Acton Street. According to a Facebook post by the Maynard Fire Department, debris was scattered inside the building following the impact. The driver, while shaken, was taken by the Acton Fire Department to be checked out, as stated by a Maynard police and fire spokesperson to Boston 25 News. The employee's health was expected to not be seriously compromised.

Post-collision, a building inspector was promptly called to the scene to assess the extent of the damage to the dealership after the truck was removed. Christmas Motors now faces the daunting task of swiftly repairing and reopening, assuring a return to normal business operations in the aftermath of the unforeseen vehicular intrusion. Meanwhile, the employee at the wheel of the pickup at the time of the crash has yet to be publicly named as the incident is likely still under review.
