Two men ended up in cuffs after police said they pulled off a brazen daylight heist outside a Miami Lakes bank. The strongarm robbery played out yesterday, right on the doorstep of an TD Bank branch at Northwest 163rd Street and Red Road.
The unlucky victim had just exited the bank, an envelope of hard-earned cash in hand, when he was blindsided by two thugs. In broad daylight, with what one imagines as an audacity of desperation, the suspects allegedly blocked the man and forcibly demanded the money. The scuffle that ensued was short-lived, as the duo ripped the envelope from the man's grasp and fled into the getaway car.
In a swift response, Miami-Dade County officers tracked down the vehicle, pinning it in northwest Miami-Dade County. Local 10 reports the two men were then detained, although their identities have yet to hit the public record.
