
A 14-year-old male juvenile has been charged with a felony for the aggravated battery discharge of a firearm, as stated by the Chicago Police Department. The unnamed youth is set to face a juvenile detention hearing today at 1100 S. Hamilton.
The arrest was made by the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, charged with identifying and apprehending the juvenile who, on the icy streets of Chicago in the bleak hours of December 17, 2023, allegedly shot a 13-year-old boy around 12:41 a.m. on the 8700 block of S. Marquette Ave in the city's 4th District. Having been placed into custody on February 5, 2024, the suspect now confronts the consequences of that fateful night's events.
