A 19-year-old man has been slapped with serious charges after a brazen armed robbery in Chicago, police said. Terrell Gordon of the 0-100 block of N. Central Ave was apprehended and is now facing one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm, among other charges.
According to a Chicago Police Department release, Gordon was to quickly attend a detention hearing following his arrest on the morning of February 24. The incident that led to Gordon's capture involved the theft of property at gunpoint from a 32-year-old male victim. Reports indicate that the crime took place in the 300 block of S. Kildare Ave.
The charges against Gordon include one felony count of PCS - manufacturing or possession of a substance with intent, in addition to the robbery charges. He also faces one misdemeanor count each for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless driving, along with two traffic citations. These slew of charges came after members of the CPD caught the young man post-robbery in the 4000 block of W. Wilcox St.
Gordon's alleged criminal acts have swiftly been brought to legal attention, as his detention hearing was scheduled for February 25, just one day after officers put him into cuffs.
