
Chicago streets were briefly safer after the arrest of a 30-year-old man officials say is connected to a series of armed robberies. Joshua Horn-Brown from the 7700 block of S. Phillips Ave. in Chicago, Illinois, was charged with two felony counts of robbery armed with a firearm, along with one count of being an armed habitual criminal, according to a recent release from the Chicago Police Department.
Horn-Brown was identified to have allegedly used a gun to demand money from a 22-year-old woman inside a business in the 1400 block of W. Morse Ave. on January 10, 2024. Moreover, he’s accused of having also robbed a 56-year-old man on January 31, 2023, in the 6500 block of N. Clark. These incidents both occurred within Chicago's 24th District. The accused was taken into custody on February 5, 2024, in the 1200 block of W. Morse Ave.
A detention hearing was set for February 6, 2024, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. At this stage, the suspect awaits the legal proceedings to answer to his charges. The Chicago Police Department has not released further information regarding the case as investigations are still ongoing.
