
Chicago police are on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 54-year-old man on the city's West Side, leaving him with serious injuries. According to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department, the incident occurred on February 12th at about 9:58 pm near 531 S. Pulaski Rd.
The suspect was behind the wheel of a silver Ford Edge when they mowed down the unnamed middle-aged man before fleeing the scene, police are asking for the public's help to track down the heartless driver; the vehicle was described as lacking a front plate, and it's believed to have sustained damage to the front bumper and windshield. Eyewitness reports and gathered evidence are still being pieced together by detectives as they appeal for any additional information that could lead to an arrest.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or details regarding his current condition, however, they have been clear in describing the wanted vehicle's notable features, emphasizing the absence of a sunroof and the potential front-end damage likely incurred during the violent encounter.
