Coon Rapids Civic Center's annual Winter Concert Series is stepping back into the spotlight, but this time with a little less length and just as much soul. Gone are the days of a four-concert spree; the 2024 iteration is hitting us with a tight trio of performances sure to keep toes tapping through the frost.
The series kicks off with The Floras strumming their way into your country and gospel-loving hearts on Feb. 8. But if you're craving a throwback, circle March 14 for the Riverside Rockets as they swoop you back to the 1950s—poodle skirts and slicked-back hair optional. Finally, Kenny and his band of country cronies wrap things up on April 11. All concerts start at 7 p.m., keeping it simple for those of us who still wear watches and for whom "fashionably late" isn’t a thing.
Snag your tickets at the not-so-rock-star price of $8 for adults and $5 for the younguns 12 and under, which, in a financially unforgiving world, is less than a fancy coffee these days.
