The search for 18-year-old Semaj Specks came to a close as Dallas Police confirmed the teen was found safe after going missing earlier this week. Semaj was last seen on February 22 around 8:30 am in the 9700 block of Forest Lane, as per the Dallas Police Department.
The search attracted widespread attention, with Dallas police disseminating his description: an 18-year-old male, with brown eyes, black hair, standing 5’3", and weighing 130 pounds; Specks was last noted wearing blue jeans, a black and gray jacket, and black shoes, the specifics of his last outfit were hoped to endeavor to locate him easier but it is also a stark reminder of the vulnerability of our youth and the constant undercurrent of worry that grips our communities every time the safety of one of our young ones is unaccounted for.
