"I am both thrilled and honored to join Governor Tina Kotek's Office in the Director of Equity and Racial Justice role," Bealer said. Holding experience that spans nearly a decade, Bealer's resume boasts roles in policy analysis, project management, and community engagement. During his tenure at Metro, his leadership was instrumental in developing multiple equity-focused programs that engaged with a broad coalition of public agencies and community organizations.
With a history of advising on policy and acting as a liaison for the Metro Council President's office, Bealer possesses a robust background that appears to neatly fit into his new role. He intends to closely work alongside colleagues and community figures to boldly break down existing barriers that inhibit equity. In his statement, he envisioned a collaboration that will "forge a path towards a more just and equitable future for all Oregonians."
Aside from his professional work, Bealer's community involvement includes his tenure as a Board Member for Verde, and work with the National Association of Minority Contractors-Oregon.
