Addressing a pressing need within the community, MN Housing is stepping up to the plate to offer guidance and support through a variety of programs aimed at making homeownership more accessible. Touted as a golden opportunity for first-time buyers and existing homeowners alike, a free workshop is slated for the evening of March 13. The event is designed to educate attendees on the multitude of resources they have at their disposal to either take the plunge into owning their own home or to enhance their existing abode, as reported by Sherburne County.

The Start-Up program specifically targets first-time buyers, offering a leg up with Downpayment and Closing Cost Loan options that can potentially greatly ease the financial burden of stepping into home ownership. Not to be outdone, the Step Up program leans in to assist current homeowners who are looking to either upgrade via new purchases or who are seeking to refinance, bringing Downpayment and Closing Cost Loan options to the table, along with a Refinance option, according to Sherburne County.

Set within the walls of the Sherburne County Government Center, known locally as the hub of civic activity, this informative session will take place in the Maple Room from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
