Peachtree City police are in pursuit of a woman who's been conducting a high-end heist spree, snatching thousands of dollars worth of perfumes from beauty retailers. The serial shoplifter's latest theft was reported on Valentine's Day, when she allegedly filched fragrances from a local Sephora, making off with goods worth a few hundred dollars. But this wasn't her first rodeo; the suspect had previously hit an Ulta store, pocketing perfumes valued at about $2,000, as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
The authorities are tying to piece together her trail of thefts across the metro Atlanta area, and believe she may have pulled similar jobs beyond Georgia's borders. "One of the detectives working similar reports recognized her from two prior reports at Ulta," Lt. Brad Williams with Peachtree City Police stated, indicating that this skilled shoplifter could be operating on a larger geographical scale. Both Sephora and Ulta have cooperated with the police by supplying surveillance footage aiding the investigation
In an effort to cast a wider net, Peachtree City police released photos of the suspect on their Facebook page. The stolen items include high-ticket fragrances from designers such as Fendi, Armani, Rue 21, and Gucci. According to WSB-TV, the cumulative heist amounts to $500 from Sephora and a whopping $2,000 from Ulta Beauty.
The police are earnestly soliciting help from the public to identify the elusive fragrance filcher. If you possess information that could to possibly identify the suspect, officials ask that you reach out to the Peachtree City Police Department at 770-487-8866 or email Detective Michelle Taylor at [email protected].
