San Jose Man Accused of Producing Dangerous 'Tusi' Drug Cocktail, SJPD Seeks Community TipsSource: San Jose Police Department

The San Jose Police Department has cuffed a man accused of cooking up a dangerous cocktail of drugs for sale. Luis Carrillo-Moyeda, 32, a resident of San Jose, has been fingered as the kingpin in a narcotics production and trafficking operation, the police reported Wednesday.

Following a meticulous narcotics probe, detectives traced the illicit activity to a business on the 400 block of Blossom Hill Road, where they believe Carrillo-Moyeda was playing chemist with 'Tusi,' '2C,' or 'Pink Panther'—a potent mix of ketamine, MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, and opioids the SJPD said in a statement.

Armed with search warrants, the police swooped on Carrillo-Moyeda's home and his shadowy shop on January 19, finding not just the synthetic smorgasbord, but also piles of cash, an illegal gun, and ammo. The METRO Unit led the sting with backup from the Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, Street Crimes Unit, and other departments.

As the investigation continues, the SJPD is shaking down the community for tips on Carrillo-Moyeda's operation, promising cold, hard cash if your chitchat leads to an arrest, according to their press release. Tipsters can stay in the shadows by using the P3TIPS mobile app or dialing the tip line at (408) 947-STOP.
