
The San Jose Police Department has netted a suspect in what marks the city's 36th homicide for last year, as confirmed by authorities. The arrest of 35-year-old Bonifascio Limon follows the fatal shooting of a man near Calle De Guadalupe and Plaza De Guadalupe on December 30.

In an update provided by the San Jose Police Department's official news release, detailed investigative work led detectives to identify Limon as the suspect, subsequently leading to his February 1 arrest. Utilizing high-tech tools such as Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) cameras, the Air Support Unit tracked Limon to a San Jose residence, and with several specialized units, including M.E.R.G.E and Canine Units in tow, they apprehended him after a brief attempt to escape the premises.
Limon now faces charges for the crime and is housed at the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Meanwhile, the investigators, Detective Sergeant Van Den Broeck and Detective Estantino, continue their pursuit of justice, examining leads and piecing together the circumstances that culminated in the victim's unfortunate demise, this according to information in an article by Hoodline.
