Monday morning took an unexpected turn for residents at the corner of Alisal Court and Timberhill Street in Pacifica, California when police activity zoomed in on a suspicious vehicle. The Pacifica Police Department confirmed in a press release that they responded to a report of a suspicious black Porsche Macan just after the break of dawn, at around 7:38 AM on February 12.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers parked in the area, found the luxury vehicle, and ran a routine license plate check. The records hit back with a red flag; the expensive set of wheels had been reported stolen from Vallejo, CA, according to a statement released by the police department. With their senses primed for action, the officers conducted what they termed a 'high-risk enforcement stop.'
The police operation rattled the calm of the suburban streets. Still, it ended with the detention of the vehicle's sole occupant, a relief to those watching, as the cops managed the situation without any reported incident. The owner of the Porsche was later contacted, probably with a cocktail of relief and disbelief, to be informed that their missing set of wheels had been found and was in police custody.
The Pacifica Police Department has yet to release information about potential charges or the identity of the individual detained in the stolen vehicle case.
