Three men were shot and wounded while they were sitting in a parked truck on Chicago's Southeast Side, authorities said. The violence erupted around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 10600 block of South Avenue B, as per the Chicago Police. A male gunman approached their vehicle, unleashed a barrage of bullets, and then took off in an unspecified direction.

The victims' ages, 29, 23, and 20, according to the Chicago Tribune, were inside the vehicle when the assailant approached and opened fire, striking all three. The oldest was hit in the right shoulder; the 23-year-old was grazed on the right arm and also sustained minor lacerations to the head, and the youngest was also shot in the right shoulder.

All three victims were taken to UChicago Medicine and listed as being in good condition. 

No arrest has been made yet, and the detectives in Area 2 are handling the ongoing investigation. The attack has left residents unnerved, as violence in the neighborhood is a scourge that has taken too many, too soon. While the motive is currently unknown, CBS News Chicago confirmed that no one is in custody.
