Tonight, however, the weather is expected to shift as clouds begin to roll in, dropping temperatures to a low of around 14 degrees. The Northwest wind will slow down a notch, blowing between 6 and 9 mph. As we head into Friday, Minneapolis will witness mostly sunny skies but with a significantly colder high near 19 degrees. The northwest winds will persist, blowing 6 to 14 mph and potentially gusting up to 22 mph.

It will be a breezy day with west winds of 11 to 21 mph, and gusts that might reach as high as 31 mph.
As the weekend progresses, Saturday night is predicted to be partly cloudy with temperatures dipping to a low of around 22 degrees. Sunday is looking up with plenty of sunshine and a high warming to near 37 degrees. The night will mirror the previous one, partly cloudy with lows holding steady around 22 degrees.
